Does Crunch Fitness have childcare?
Life's a juggling act, right? Between wrangling kiddos, tackling work, and managing the never-ending family chaos, squeezing in time for fitness may feel impossible. But hey, as a busy parent myself, I've found the ultimate game changer: A gym with childcare. Not only do I get to break a sweat, but my little one gets to mingle and play. An absolute win-win for us (as well as my spouse)!
How about Crunch Fitness?
Parents will love to hear this: Crunch absolutely has childcare at their locations—at a very good 38% of their gyms. They sure do understand parents: Being able to squeeze in a workout with your children under safe supervision—nearby—is a game changer.
Very cool. Which locations have it?
A good amount! We're tracking all 293 Crunch locations, and 110 of them offer childcare services.
We're quite impressed with Crunch's overall amenity set, providing great value with an amazing product. Those locations with childcare put them over the top in our personal opinion!
Tell me more about Crunch's childcare.
Details are slim, but we're working on getting more info. Here's what we dug up from a location in Kileen, Texas:
- Ages 6 months to 13 years old are accepted, where the smallest of kids (infants essentially) are separated from the elders
- Time limit 2-hours per kid during your workout
- Childcare hours vary by club, and don't always line up with the club open/close times. (They need to account for the dedicated Crunch childcare staff, of course).
We wish they gave greater detail in their kids offering (activities, games, what-to-expect), but it simply isn't there.
Is childcare free for kids at Crunch Fitness?
We're not quite sure yet, but we're working on getting answers.
Why childcare makes sense for busy parents
- It's convenient! Babysitting service at gyms means parents can reliably get their exercise done without fear or worry of their kids wellbeing. It becomes an actual one-stop for the day to make sure you don't miss a workout.
- It's safe! Daycare facilities require certain health and safety standards, usually mandated by the county or city. This often means at least CPR certification, along with other safety protocols.
- Provides Interaction: Many babysitting/daycare services at gyms focus on engaging playtime activities—giving your kids a stimulating environment where they may play games and with other kids.
- It's flexible: It's the best when childcare hours are clear and easily found. This makes planning our workout both flexible and reliable. Parents, you know how it is to juggle schedules—especially around nap time!
- It gives great Peace of Mind: Happy kid = clear mind = great workout. All is intertwined. Knowing that your child is entertained and well-supervised gives you great peace of mind. Your mind is then clear to help give your body a great workout!
Wrapping up childcare with Crunch
Parents, good news from Crunch. Combine their awesome selection of various amenities with a kids/childcare program—you may have just found your new gym.
We wish they had more detail on specific kids activities, toys and rules, though. Plus, we don't have great clarity on pricing.
Finally, with over 110 different locations with childcare, most people will appreciate having one nearby. Crunch should be on your list to check out!
