It honestly feels like you should be paying more for your membership. Yes, Chuze's value is really that good. While they may not have invented the HVLP (high-value-low-price) gym model, they're doing their best job in leading the category.
Plethora of amenities, available at a majority of their locations. We're fans of their medium to large sized gyms at an average of 32,280 square feet.
Clean, well-maintained, up-to-date gyms: Chuze makes this a priority. We hear this from our industry connections plus sifting through hundreds of their ratings and reviews.
Chuze is moving east! They've acquired 16 Bailey's locations around Jacksonville, Florida—bringing this fantastic gym to the Atlantic. We expect those clubs to be refreshed and brought to Chuze standards in the coming years.
Chuze Fitness already offers an immense selection of amenities and services. But, we can still name a few things we'd like to see from this popular gym chain.
There were Chuze clubs all over the nation! Seriously: they need to spread their business across the country. (April 2023: they've heading to Jacksonville, Florida!)
More of their locations had basketball. Just 12% of their gyms—exactly 7 of them, have the amenity.
Only 19 gyms at Chuze have Olympic lifting stations. That feels low! The other 68% of locations deserve the popular amenity.
Chuze Fitness is very competitive with their pricing, likely with a setup that'll fit your health journey. Here's what to expect:
Annual fee for Chuze is $49.99, billed 45 days after your initial sign-up. This amount stayed consistent for all the gyms we looked at.
Enroll fees are... $0? Well, we must have checked during a nationwide promo period because not once did we see a charge for this. During sign-up, you do have to pay your first months dues, it's not prorated.
A word about Chuze in Georgia and Florida (near Jacksonville): They purchased a chain called Bailey's in April of 2023. We've noticed they started to update those gyms plus website, and finally streamlined the pricing. These clubs have similar structure to original Chuze clubs. The Jacksonville Beach location:
All ex Bailey's gyms are open 24/7, have WiFi, olympic free weights, group fitness classes and indoor cycling classes.
