Is Blink Fitness open 24 hours a day?

You're on a quest for a fitness center that's open at the crack of dawn or the dead of night. Fortunately, finding a gym that operates 24/7 is easy—we have the ultimate list ready for you. 

Nope. Not a single Blink Fitness location has all night long hours. We count 93 different locations, and none of them offer up the amenity. This goes for all their locations in all states: no late night workouts in California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York and more.

We're not exactly sure why. But, we know that running a gym 24/7 can't be easy. Operating any business throughout the night presents several challenges:

• Does the local city or county approve of the extended hours? Certain locales will restrict business hours.
• Are the necessary safety measures setup for any scenario? That goes for security of the members and employees alike.
• Is there a substantial member interest in all-night access? If there's no demand, there's no point.
• Can the gym adequately staff and resource itself for 24-hour operations?

We're sure that Blink Fitness had these and many other questions lined up in evaluating all-night-hours.

Great question. Unfortunately, we don't have an answer at this moment. Keep reading for our opinion though.

We were absolutely stunned to find out that they offer this to New Yorkers. A little more than half of all Blink Fitness gyms are located in New York City—that's about 50 gyms and guess what: not a single one of them are open 24/7.

In fact, did you know that there isn't a single gym chain in NYC that is open for workouts 24/7? In the city that never sleeps, this is actually quite astonishing. You heard us: we can't count a single location for you to workout in the late hours. 

It's a huge opportunity to capitalize on in a city of 8 million. If Blink Fitness changes their tune, we're happy to take the credit!

You can find the full list of NYC gyms here. Besides Blink Fitness, you'll see New York Sports Club, Equinox and Crunch Fitness. And yep, none are open 24/7.

None of Blink's 93 gyms across the country are open 24/7. We also have no information if it's something on the horizon for them. Most importantly—as the majority of their clubs are in New York—Blink doesn't have 24/7 hours to accommodate the sure demand of the big city. We see a huge opportunity for them here.
