Is VASA Fitness open 24 hours a day?

Sorry! Not a single VASA Fitness location is open all night. That's right: of their 50 gyms open nationwide, not a single one is open 24/7.

Absolutely—and we're wondering why it isn't already offered by them. We don't think every gym chain should have 24/7 hours just because it's a nice to have, we look at their entire package of offerings and see if there is a fit.

In VASA's case, we think all-night-hours fits quite nicely. As a younger and upcoming gym chain, they've been growing at an awesome pace. New locations are clean, bright and full of amenities. Their HVLP (high-value-low-price) model shows that a stellar gym experience can be had for a great price.

You put this all together and see a wonderous gym chain that offers almost everything to their members... except 24/7 hours. Is it on the horizon for VASA? We have no idea—but we certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

We're not exactly sure why VASA Fitness doesn't, but here are a few things they would need to consider: 

• Would enough people show up? Generally there isn't a huge number of folks who workout in the middle of the night. This is the most important.
• Are there any permits, rules or regulations are needed? Usually the city/county has specific rules on business operating hours.
• Can they adequately staff and resource itself for 24-hour operations? That means front desk staff, managers/supervisors, janitorial and more.
• How can they safely operate in the event of an emergency or medical issue? What about fire, theft, earthquake or a storm?

In this case for VASA, it doesn't look like they found a gym that could satisfy these (and many more) requirements. 

While the exact times will differ for every location, the most common opening hours we've seen are: 

• Monday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Tuesday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Wednesday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Friday: 5:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

VASA's operating hours are pretty standard compared to their competition. That 7:00 AM starting time on the weekends is also quite good—we've seen others at 8:00 AM.

The popular gym chain unfortunately does not have any locations that are open 24/7. While we know there are multiple things that need to go right to offer this amenity, we believe that VASA could make it work! Time will tell.
