Can't wait to sweat it out? Like others, you've discovered the immense benefits of a sauna. You love the hot hot heat, and the way it draw toxins and impurities from your skin. We are on the same vibe my friend: that fresh out of the sauna' feeling is purely addictive!
Here at gymscompared.com, people are always asking us if a certain gym has a sauna. And we can clearly see why it makes sense: Folks are either warming up muscles before their workouts, or relaxing sore ones once their session is complete. Bottom line: the sauna is a key amenity to help achieve your fitness goals.
More and more gyms across the country have added a sauna (or two!) for their members—and we've done all the research for you.
So, what about Crunch Fitness?
You're in luck. Crunch Fitness does have saunas, but only at select locations.
Crunch knows the overall health and wellness benefits of this amazing amenity, but by our count, less than a third of their gyms have a sauna.
Find your perfect gym!
Got it. Which exact gyms can I find their sauna?
As of March 2024, we count 293 total Crunch Fitness gyms and 32% of their gyms have the amenity. That totals exactly 95 Crunch locations with a sauna. It's worth noting that Crunch Signature locations (28 total) are ones that definitely have the amenity. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see which ones.

Are there separate saunas for men and women?
Yes, we're seeing that some Crunch clubs have saunas separate for women and men. We don't have an exact list of that just yet. Check back here soon!
Are the saunas free at Crunch?
Yep! Access to their saunas is included within your monthly membership cost. Even those on the Crunch Base plan (which can be as low as $9.99/month), do get access to the sauna. Peak and Peak Results memberships also of course can use the amenity.
What to wear in the sauna at Crunch Fitness?
We're unaware of a specific dress code for using the sauna at Crunch Fitness. But, here are some general guidelines we've seen:
- Expect to sweat—so dress accordingly. Yep, the heat will turn up your internal temps and sweat will soon follow. Make sure you're wearing clothes that wick and/or absorb your sweat easily.
- Make sure you're comfortable: most folks we've seen in the sauna are wearing the same athletic sportswear they use on the gym floor. Shorts, leggings, t-shirts and such.
- There are of course several recommended items to not wear: such as jeans, coats and heavy clothing.

How hot is the sauna at Crunch Fitness?
We're not quite sure on the exact temperature at this gym chain but we're looking into it. Of course, there will be temperature variances between each location as well.
In our experience:
- Most traditional saunas we've seen have their temperatures set between 150 and 175 degrees F.
- Infrared saunas usually aren't quite as hot, and hover around 120 and 140 degrees F.
What kind of sauna does Crunch Fitness have?
Crunch gyms offer up either an "infrared" or "traditional" sauna. Most of the locations use the traditional version.
While there are other types, these are by far the two most popular at all of the national, large gym chains we cover. The difference between the two? Primarily how they distribute heat.
- Traditional saunas use heated stones and water to heat the surrounding air—creating an atmosphere that is both hot and humid.
- Infrared saunas are "light" aka UV based, and give direct warmth to heat the body—similar to the feeling when you step into the sun, but at a much higher temperature, of course.
While we don't have the exact type for each gym, we do have the locations that feature a sauna in general. Check back here as we update this info.
Wrapping it up
So, sauna fans: Crunch is a great option, provided you can find a location nearby. They do have quite a bit around the country, so we're sure it's on your list to explore.
We're a fan of the overall brand, their cleanliness and quirkiness too. Many times the price point is just right as well. Overall, a fun and up-to-date gym chain we highly recommend.
