Ready to turn up the heat?  Like others, you've discovered the immense benefits of a sauna. You love the hot hot heat, and the way it draw toxins and impurities from your skin. We are on the same vibe my friend: that fresh out of the sauna' feeling is purely addictive!

Here at gymscompared.com, people are always asking us if a certain gym has a sauna. And we can clearly see why it makes sense: Folks are either warming up muscles before their workouts, or relaxing sore ones once their session is complete. Bottom line: the sauna is a key amenity to help achieve your fitness goals.

More and more gyms across the country have added a sauna (or two!) for their members—and we've done all the research for you.

Sorry, no saunas at Retro Fitness locations. We checked every single web page of theirs, and connected with customer care. We also thumbed through their Instagram and Facebook pages: unfortunately, Retro Fitness doesn't have saunas. 

We have some pretty good ideas to why they don't:

• No space! Retro Fitness clubs are on the smaller side: less than 20,000 square feet for the majority of their locations. They decided to use these areas for "traditional gym equipment" such as free-weights, machines and cardio equipment.
• Not part of their core offering. Retro Fitness focuses on the all night all day availability of a workout: specifically their cardio and strength offerings. Sauna isn't part of that (as well as steam, pool, basketball and more).
• Would drive up the membership price. With some Retro Fitness gyms offering a $9.99 monthly membership, adding a sauna would definitely increase that price. 

We don't think so. Sure, they could take a drastic turn from their well established business plan... that would require a significant change in who they are, and how much they charge. We suggest finding a different place to sauna.

So, there aren't any saunas at Retro Fitness, sorry. From everything we put together about this gym chain, we don't think it's coming in the future either.
