Can't wait to sweat it out? Like others, you've discovered the immense benefits of a sauna. You love the hot hot heat, and the way it draw toxins and impurities from your skin. We are on the same vibe my friend: that fresh out of the sauna' feeling is purely addictive!
Here at gymscompared.com, people are always asking us if a certain gym has a sauna. And we can clearly see why it makes sense: Folks are either warming up muscles before their workouts, or relaxing sore ones once their session is complete. Bottom line: the sauna is a key amenity to help achieve your fitness goals.
More and more gyms across the country have added a sauna (or two!) for their members—and we've done all the research for you.
So, what about VASA Fitness?
Yup! VASA Fitness definitely has saunas for their members. They understand the health and wellness benefits of this amazing amenity, and by our count has saunas at nearly all of their locations. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see which ones.

So, which VASA locations have a sauna?
Nearly all of them, about 90% of their locations. With 51 total gyms across the country, exactly 46 VASA Gyms have a sauna as of March 2024. Looking for the exact list? You're in luck: scroll to the very bottom of this page to see them all.
VASA has a stronghold in the Utah market specifically, so members around Salt Lake City and Provo don't have to look far for a VASA with a sauna.
What to wear to the sauna at VASA Fitness?
VASA gives us some light guidelines to their sauna (and steam room) usage.
- Recommend you take a quick rinse in their showers
- Light workout clothes or swimsuits are required in the sauna/steam rooms
- Flip flops or barefoot (so no shoes!) is recommended
Overall, that fits nicely with our general guidelines:
- Expect to sweat—so dress accordingly. The heat will turn up your internal temps and sweat will soon follow. Make sure you're wearing clothes that wick and/or absorb your sweat easily.
- Make sure you're comfortable: most folks we've seen in the sauna are wearing the same athletic sportswear they use on the gym floor. Shorts, leggings, t-shirts and such.
- There are of course several recommended items to not wear: such as jeans, coats and heavy clothing.
Are there separate saunas for men and women?
From what we've gathered, we believe their saunas are generally co-ed—shared spaces for both men and women. They usually build saunas near to their pools, steam room and hot tub—all shared gender locations.

How hot is the sauna at VASA Fitness?
We're not quite sure on the exact temperature at VASA, but we're looking into it. Do know that there will be variances between each location as well. What we've seen from other gyms:
- Most traditional saunas we've seen have their temperatures set between 150 and 175 degrees F.
- Infrared saunas usually aren't quite as hot, and hover around 120 and 140 degrees F.
What kind of sauna does 24 Hour Fitness have?
There are a few different types of saunas, with the most popular being "traditional" or "infrared."
Are the saunas free at VASA?
Yes, if you have a Fitness or Studio membership. Those on the Basic ($9.99 month) plans won't be able access this amenity. If you're on the fence on deciding, know that stepping up to the Fitness or Studio plans also open up many more amenities in addition to sauna, such as steam, pool, hot tub, childcare and more. Truly an awesome value at VASA.
Wrapping up
It's no secret we love VASA gyms. Why? Amazing amenity sets, overall clean, well-maintained, and up-to-date facilities. This gym chain should be near the top of your list if one is nearby, and not just for their amazing sauna offering.
