Is Esporta Fitness open 24 hours a day?

You've come to the right place! You're on the hunt for a gym that accommodates your schedule, whether it's late at night or early in the morning. 

Yep! A few select locations from Esporta have up all night workout hours. And when we say a few—it's literally that. 

Just 3 locations. That's right—of their total 142 gyms, only three are open all night long. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see those locations (in Arizona and Florida).

We don't know. Sometimes we get an insider tip or have info from the team—in this case neither. What is odd though, is that these 3 locations are in different places of the country. Two in Arizona and one in Florida. Seemingly no connection so we can't give any possible reason.

Did you know that Esporta, LA Fitness and City Sports are all gym chains owned by the same company? We look for similarities between them (like 24/7 hours, available amenities, programs and more).... and it's still just these 3 Esporta gyms open 24/7. So, no hint or tip here.

We're not quite sure, but there are a few things to think about. An Esporta location with all-night hours comes with some challenges, and a combination of these things will drive the gym chain to determine if the location should be open or not:

• Is the city/county in which the club resides "OK" with the hours? Smaller locales actually restrict hours to a certain time, to balance safety, crime and police/first resources.
• What safety requirements are needed to maintain a gym in case something goes wrong? Are the workers trained properly in emergency situations?
• Is there enough demand from the members? It's obviously a small portion of users who need to workout late.
• Does the gym have enough staffing/resources to support all-night-hours? Smaller, boutique gyms may only have a few employees.

Esporta gyms are staffed 24/7, meaning you'll always have an employee present. A few benefits of a staffed location:

• Gives you peace of mind that someone is nearby, if anything at all is needed.
• In an emergency situation (earthquake, fire, health, accident), a trained employee can lend a hand or even alert you to the issue.
• Can help with general issues. That's for login/membership, purchasing retail items, broken equipment or even changing the channel on tv's.

(Unstaffed gyms are like the ones you'll find in hotels, where you can 'beep' in with a key-card or key-fob.)

At Esporta, the majority of their gyms with non-24/7 hours look like this:

• Monday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Tuesday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Wednesday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Friday: 5:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

We like the 5:00AM starts on weekdays, but 8:00AM on weekends is a bit late for our liking. 

Sure, this isn't a standard schedule across them all, but for these Esporta locations, we'd say they're lagging behind their competition. Competing gym chains usually open at 7:00 AM on weekends.

Esporta Fitness can officially say their gyms are open 24-hours-a-day—but at just 3 of their 142 locations. We don't know if that number is going to go up, but our bet is on no.

And for the locations that have to close their doors? They have pretty standard operating hours to appease most people's workouts. If an open-all-night-gym is at the absolute top of your list, consider Esporta but keep your options open for another competitor.
