Ready to turn up the heat?  Like others, you've discovered the immense benefits of a sauna. You love the hot hot heat, and the way it draw toxins and impurities from your skin. We are on the same vibe my friend: that fresh out of the sauna' feeling is purely addictive!

Here at gymscompared.com, people are always asking us if a certain gym has a sauna. And we can clearly see why it makes sense: Folks are either warming up muscles before their workouts, or relaxing sore ones once their session is complete. Bottom line: the sauna is a key amenity to help achieve your fitness goals.

More and more gyms across the country have added a sauna (or two!) for their members—and we've done all the research for you.

Nope. No sauna at Anytime Fitness locations. And we've done our homework: we checked every single web page of theirs, and connected with customer care. Thumbed through Facebook and Instagram pages, too. 

Most clearly though, they state on their website:

None of our clubs offer sauna or steam rooms, but some clubs do offer tanning and hydromassage beds.

This is quite a big deal: Anytime Fitness is the largest gym chains in the country, at over 2,300 locations. For most folks in the United States, you can bet that they have a club (or two, three!) nearby to you. Unfortunately, no Anytime Fitness locations have a sauna.

We have some pretty good ideas to why they don't:

• No space! Anytime Fitness clubs are on the smaller side: less than 20,000 square feet for the majority of their locations. They decided to use these areas for "traditional gym equipment" such as free-weights, machines and cardio equipment.
• Not part of their core offering. Anytime Fitness focuses on the all night all day availability of a workout: specifically their cardio and strength offerings. Sauna isn't part of that (as well as steam, pool, basketball and more).
• Would drive up the membership price. With some Anytime Fitness gyms offering a $9.99 monthly membership, adding a sauna would definitely increase that price. 

We don't think so. Sure, they could take a drastic turn from their well established business plan... that would require a significant change in who they are, and how much they charge. We suggest finding a different place to relax in a sauna.

So, there aren't any saunas at Anytime Fitness, sorry folks. From what we gathered, we don't think it's coming in the future either.
