Ready to turn up the heat? Like others, you've discovered the immense benefits of a sauna. You love the hot hot heat, and the way it draw toxins and impurities from your skin. We are on the same vibe my friend: that fresh out of the sauna' feeling is purely addictive!
Here at gymscompared.com, people are always asking us if a certain gym has a sauna. And we can clearly see why it makes sense: Folks are either warming up muscles before their workouts, or relaxing sore ones once their session is complete. Bottom line: the sauna is a key amenity to help achieve your fitness goals.
More and more gyms across the country have added a sauna (or two!) for their members—and we've done all the research for you.
So, what about Chuze gyms?
Water amenities are a big part of the membership offerings with this chain, as Chuze Fitness absolutely does have saunas at the majority of their locations. They've recognized and understand the total health & wellness benefits of this amazing feature. (Not only do some of their clubs have a sauna, many also have a steam room and pool nearby.)
However, you still won't find a sauna at every gym of theirs. Read on for more info.

How hot is the sauna at Chuze Fitness?
Unfortunately we're not sure on the exact temperature at Chuze—but we're looking into it. Of course, there will be variances between each location as well. It's also worth noting that the different types of sauna available at Chuze will help answer this question. Read on.
Does Chuze Fitness have a traditional or infrared sauna?
They've got both. By our count:
While there are other types, these are by far the two most popular at all of the national, large gym chains we cover. The difference between the two? Primarily how they distribute heat.
- Traditional saunas use heated stones and water to heat the surrounding air—creating an atmosphere that is both hot and humid.
- Infrared saunas are "light" aka UV based, and give direct warmth to heat the body—similar to the feeling when you step into the sun, but at a much higher temperature, of course.
Speaking of temperature:
- Most traditional saunas we've seen have their temperatures set between 150 and 170 degrees F.
- Infrared saunas usually aren't quite as hot, and hover around 120 and 140 degrees F.
Is one better than the other? Not necessarily. You'll need to try them both out to see what fits you best (and at least Chuze gives you that option)!
Are there separate saunas for men and women?
Sorry, we don't know that yet. Our best guess is that these are shared spaces aka co-ed, based off the pictures presented on the Chuze site.

What should I wear to the Chuze sauna?
We're unaware of a specific dress code for using the sauna at Chuze Fitness. But, here are some general guidelines:
- You're gonna sweat!—so dress accordingly. The heat will turn up your internal temps and sweat will soon follow. Make sure you're wearing clothes that wick and/or absorb easily.
- Make sure you're comfortable. Most folks we've seen in the sauna are wearing the same athletic sportswear they use on the gym floor. Shorts, leggings, t-shirts and such.
- There are of course several recommended items to not wear: such as jeans, coats and heavy clothing.
