Onelife gyms are beautiful places to work out. Plus, their locations are stocked full of amenities that their nearby competitors can't keep up with. Here's what we gathered:
And as we would expect from this gym chain, members also get access to standard offerings like:
However, you won't find be able to work out 24-hours-a-day here, or play racquetball.
Onelife Fitness was founded in 1986 in Northern Virginia, United States. Current CEO is Edgar Serafini.
The exact opening hours for each location is different, but the most common we've seen:

Room for activities! Average square footage of their gyms.
How much you can expect to pay for the entry-level membership every month
We love good looking, well maintained gyms. Dare we say that some of Onelife gyms are... boutique? Combine that as being one of the most well-stocked gym chains out there, and you have a recipe for success. Read on for more of what gets us smiling about Onelife.
Parents have a great option with Onelife, with 35 of their 46 gyms offering childcare/daycare services. Lifehack: get your workout in while they play.
Pickleball FTW! Only 3 of their 46 clubs feature the amenity, but in the city of Charlotte, no other providers have it.
Basketball, steam, tennis, hot tubs, tanning and massage services are all also available, but at just a few of their locations.
While Onelife offers a huge amount of amenities and services, we can still name a few things we'd like to see from this gym chain.
We love the variety (basketball, steam, tennis, hot tubs, tanning, and massage)—but more of their locations need to have these amenities, not just a select bunch. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find your Onelife gym and find out yourself.
Just a single of their locations were open 24-hours-a-day! With the plethora of available amenities, having one open all night would be a great fit.
Onelife would take it's talents elsewhere—like to the Midwest, South and West. Their look, feel, attitude and amenity set would be welcome additions outside of Georgia and Virginia.
The average cost of the entry level Onelife monthly membership is $44.99. However, the range is from $24.99 to $79.99, highly dependent on which region of the country. This places Onelife into mid-tier gym pricing, which fits their overall amenity sets.
Let's look at three of their locations—you can note all the different options:
Both Basic and Premier membership types get you multi-club access, and offer unlimited group training and access to the cycle studio, along with turf and a few other things.
Premier gets you towel service, and hydromassage if the club has it. This membership type does differ slightly differ depending on the individual club's offering.
We see an ACH discount of $3, if you decide to bill directly with your bank. Joining today also requires your first month's dues.
In the checkout process, you also have the ability to add members to your plan. It's the same monthly rate for an additional person aged 12 and up, and $14.99 if you'd like to add in Kids Club, aged 0 to 11.
Altogether, these mid-tier (~$39) pricing options are pretty in-line with what the competition will offer—except the sky high Capitol Hill. If a Onelife location by you has a pool, sauna, turf and unlimited group fitness at this price point, you're getting a great deal.
We all have different bodies, different goals and different fitness journeys. Some gyms may fit a person better than others. So who would enjoy this gym most?
Free weights, strength machines and cardio equipment.
Nothing like the hot heat to warm muscles up.
An extra early or real late workout—your choice.
Stretch, sleds, bodyweight or box jumps. The turf area is the place to be.
Relieve pain post workout or soothe sore muscles.
Gym Pricing Tiers Explained
There are 3-4 main pricing tiers that nearly all gyms across the country fall into. Generally, higher prices = more amenities and services.
$10 - $25 /month — Value
$15 - $30 /month — High Value Low Price
$25 - $65 Monthly — Mid-Tier
$65 and up — Boutique/Specialty/Luxury
"Is this gym worth it?"
Use our guides to help inform and educate what a gym can offer your fitness lifestyle. Only you can truly decide if a gym is worth it!
Onelife Fitness is a well put-together, well-rounded, amenity-rich gym chain. Those in and around Washington DC have a great "local" fitness option—now with 46 total clubs that have expanded down into Georgia. Ambiance, space, design and layout all work well in these clubs that look more expensive than what you pay.
Members must think highly of them, with a blended 4.12 Google rating across all clubs. Reviews have generally been positive, with some noting what we just mentioned: "really cool atmosphere/space."
From an amenities standpoint—pools, saunas and turf are available at at least 65% of all their respective locations. Parents will like that 35 of their gyms have childcare, which is unfortunately not a common sight in the industry anymore. You know we're big fans of gyms with childcare—this would make Onelife instantly worth it for many.
Additionally, a bunch of their clubs have cardio cinema, olympic lifting platforms, massage and basketball—again every single one of these would sway many to become a Onelife member.
Even premier activities normally seen at luxury/boutique country clubs like pickleball, tennis and squash are available to members, though only at 2-3 gyms.
So, we're pretty impressed with their amenities package—only knocks are that zero locations have towel service, racquetball or are open 24 hours a day. If any of those are important, you may want to look somewhere else.
Now, matching up with their mid-tier pricing of $24.99 to $39.99, (plus $79.99 Capitol Hill)—there's no other chain in Washington DC that can challenge Onelife here. Gold's, Equinox and VIDA are other options, but fall short in all-around-"worth it" value. Outside of DC into Maryland—Planet and LA Fitness make an appearance, but also can't compete. Final vote from the gymscompared team: Onelife is definitely worth it!
