Ready to turn up the heat? Like others, you've discovered the immense benefits of a sauna. You love the hot hot heat, and the way it draw toxins and impurities from your skin. We are on the same vibe my friend: that fresh out of the sauna' feeling is purely addictive!
Here at gymscompared.com, people are always asking us if a certain gym has a sauna. And we can clearly see why it makes sense: Folks are either warming up muscles before their workouts, or relaxing sore ones once their session is complete. Bottom line: the sauna is a key amenity to help achieve your fitness goals.
More and more gyms across the country have added a sauna (or two!) for their members—and we've done all the research for you.
So, which locations have a sauna?
All of them! Whoa—yes! The Edge Fitness is the only gym chain we're tracking where 100% of their locations have a sauna. As of July 2023, we count 42 total gyms at Edge Fitness, and every single one of them have the amenity. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see which ones.

Yep. Entrance to the sauna is included with your membership.

What to wear in the sauna at The Edge?
On the Edge website, they've got some easy rules:
- Those with medical conditions (including pregnancy) should consult a physician before using the sauna.
- Please limit yourself to a maximum of 10 minutes.
- No shoes allowed. Flip flops or water shoes are permitted.
- No drying of personal items permitted.
- Do not touch the heating element or sauna temperature controls.
Additionally, we recommend knowing the below before you go:
- You're gonna sweat!—so dress accordingly. The heat will turn up your internal temps and sweat will soon follow. Make sure you're wearing clothes that wick and/or absorb easily.
- Make sure you're comfortable. Most folks we've seen in the sauna are wearing the same athletic sportswear they use on the gym floor. Shorts, leggings, t-shirts and such.
- There are of course several recommended items to not wear: such as jeans, coats and heavy clothing.
How hot is the sauna at Edge Fitness?
Unfortunately we're not sure on the exact temperature at this gym chain—but we're looking into it. Of course, there will be variances between each location as well. In our experience:
- Most traditional saunas we've seen have their temperatures set between 150 and 175 degrees F.
- Infrared saunas usually aren't quite as hot, and hover around 120 and 140 degrees F.
Are there separate saunas for men and women?
Sorry, we don't know that yet. Check back here or join our mailing list for our latest updates.
